Overview

Storybook plays a key role in how we build and maintain design systems, letting us develop UI components in isolation before they're wired into a live application. This makes it easier to catch visual inconsistencies early and keep components reusable across projects.

For teams building or scaling a design system, Storybook's value is in giving everyone, designers, developers and stakeholders, a shared, living reference for how components should look and behave. That shared source of truth is what keeps products consistent as they grow.
