What Bianca and Marie say about Codepoint
Discover the journey of Bianca Sales and Marie Mihidjahi during their internship at Codepoint. They faced the uncertainties of having a work experience in a new country and shared with us what it was like.
An important step in a student's professional life is the internship. A time of great uncertainty about starting the job market, about what colleagues, management and day-to-day life will be like. These are some of the uncertainties that Bianca Sales and Marie Mihidjahi faced, especially as it was their first work experience in a new country like Portugal. We asked our interns to share what their experience was like and let’s see what they had to say:
“Moving to Portugal made me feel the need to reinvent myself professionally and the opportunity to take the Communication Technician course appeared at the exact moment I needed it. My relationship with Codepoint started in February/24. I had the pressure of being in the last months of the course and soon going on an internship. From the beginning I had a great interest in Codepoint, because it operates in the area of technology and working with digital products that interest me a lot. Andreia Martins, CEO, was a very important leader in my process, from the beginning she was always by my side helping me and putting me in contact with other people on the team, like Tânia, a designer from whom I learned a lot. With this support I felt that I was really there to learn! I was presented with some challenges and in each one I was able to seek reference in my studies and put them into practice. Another point that was fundamental for me was having the company of another professional trainee, Marie and sharing such pleasant moments with another person doing the same process as me was a very positive experience. During my internship at Codepoint it was a great learning experience, every week I was positively looking forward to what was to come and knowing that something would definitely take me out of my comfort zone and bring me closer to being a better professional in the field. I am very grateful for the opportunity to have interned at a company that truly focuses on people.”
“When I decided to join Codepoint, I knew I was embarking on a unique adventure. In this post, I'd like to share with you my extraordinary experience, both personal and professional, at Codepoint in Braga, Portugal. Andreia Martins opened the doors of her company to us, treating us like long-standing employees. She was able to put us at ease and make us feel confident right from the start, which made my integration so much easier and more enjoyable. The Codepoint team is simply incredible. Everyone is warm and welcoming, and their passion for digital is contagious. Their determination and team spirit have inspired me on a daily basis, making me want to give it my all. Particularly Pedro Antunes, who is junior technical sales, who helped and advised me enormously during my placement. This placement has enabled me to put into practice everything I've learnt during my training, but it has also taught me to carry out tasks independently and to be self-reliant. I developed new skills, both technical and personal, and I really felt that I was growing every day. One of the most memorable moments was the team lunch at Churrasqueira Nacional, where we were able to share a warm moment outside the office, in particular with Biancas Sales, another trainee with whom I was able to share laughs and stories, which strengthened our cohesion and enabled me to create unforgettable memories. Braga and Codepoint have left an indelible mark on my heart. Not only did this internship enrich me professionally, but it also offered me invaluable human experiences. I'm infinitely grateful for this opportunity and for all the wonderful people I've met.”
At Codepoint, we believe that to have a better future, it's necessary to create it, and to have qualified professionals, it's important to give opportunities to the new ones and encourage them. That's why projects like internships are so important to us because seeing young professionals develop and believe in themselves is a source of great pride to be part of this process. Bianca and Marie were a great add to our team, bringing new ideas, knowledge and diversity. We aim to be a place where great people learn and grow, which stands both for our team and the interns.
